Problem

Earth Sculptures in West Toodyay, WA, offers a private couples chalet among olive trees and pottery workshops. Its website was dated and had no way to book. Every chalet stay and every workshop place had to be arranged by phone or email, and the business needed a more professional presence that made its services easy to understand.

Strategy

Replace the old site rather than add booking to it. We built the booking around how the business actually sells, an overnight stay and a workshop place, which are quite different things. We then looked at how the business presents itself across its website, social media and printed material, so customers see the same professional business wherever they find it.

Implementation

WiTEDS, a Perth-based web design business, designed and developed a new website with clear navigation, mobile-friendly pages, separate booking flows for chalet stays and pottery workshops, customer accounts and checkout. We wrote the website content, including an FAQ and pages about the retreat and the region, so visitors can quickly find what they need. The site was built with search in mind, with descriptive headings, clear page structure and metadata, and we wrote articles to build its search presence. We also refreshed the business's social media presentation, created a new logo and the printed marketing material around it, including business cards and flyers, and updated the Google Business Profile.

Technology

WordPress with Elementor, WooCommerce with WooCommerce Bookings for stays and workshops, and a cookie consent tool.

Business result

Guests can book a chalet stay or a pottery workshop directly online instead of arranging it by phone. The business now has a consistent look across its website, social media and print, a growing set of articles and an up-to-date Google Business Profile, all working towards being found by people planning a trip to Toodyay.
