Problem
The Boulder Rotary Club in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA, has run its radio auction as a community fundraiser since 1986, with items donated by local businesses. The club needed a website that could run the auction itself: list each donated item as a lot, take bids online and keep bidding working through every auction.
Strategy
Build the site around the part that actually carries the fundraiser — the auction system itself — so the club's volunteers are not left troubleshooting bidding software.
Implementation
WiTEDS built the club's auction website with a custom auction plugin, set up the numbered lots, categories, closing times and bidder accounts, and keeps the site and the auction working through each auction.
